St. Joseph's offers specialty care for patients needing spinal surgery. Our team of neurosurgery experts use leading edge technology and clinical expertise to ensure that our patients receive the care and support they need to be back on their feet and working toward a full recovery.

As with any surgery, it is very important for patients to learn as much as possible about their procedure and understand what to expect during their hospital stay. Spinal surgery and neurosurgery patients and families meet with Colleen Nunez, RN, Neurosurgical Clinical Management Specialist, during a pre-admission visit to review the surgical procedure and their hospital stay. Patients will be given a Patient Guide to Spinal Surgery (PDF) that will explain the procedure in detail and have an opportunity to ask questions.
