Health-Science Information
St. Joseph's Medical Library offers a
full-range of information services to the staff and physicians
affiliated with St. Joseph's Regional Health System. Computer based
programs including MD Consult, Micromedex, InfoTrac, Cochrane
Evidence Based Medicine, JACHO, California Title 22, and CINAHL
augment full Internet access to medical websites such as Medline
and Cancerlit. A rich book collection of health-related resources
in medicine, nursing, human relations and management is available
for patrons. The Library contains an extensive journal collection
with most holdings dating back ten years as well as access to
on-line journals. Library staff are available to assist you with
research, locating journal articles/books, with interlibrary loan
procedures and photocopying materials.

Clinical Resources Online
MD Consult, Web-based clinical resource
includes full text for 35 medical reference books, 45 journals, 600
practice guidelines and 2,500 patient education handouts as well as
recent medical news and continuing medical education programs.
Thanks to an Internet licensing agreement, staff and physicians
affiliated with St. Joseph's Medical Center can access MD
Consult from any computer provided the user has a password.
